In 2007 Sam Stephenson purchased a cache of Eugene Smith’s darkroom equipment from Smith’s son Pat, promising to sell it all back at the same price if he ever wanted to get rid of it or if Pat wanted it back. Included in the collection are items from the loft: Smith's eight-foot-long custom-made stainless-steel darkroom sink and wooden light table, two large-format Sinar cameras and lenses, and the high-powered long lens that Smith used to make telephoto images from the window. This gallery contains images of these objects, photographed by Frank Hunter, as well as other Smith artifacts found in his archive at the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona.
